Our timberlog building echoes the town's proud heritage as a woodcraft centre, a skill that survives to this day thanks to the surrounding indigenous forests. An extensive collection of original railway and steam train memorabilia recall a bygone era, while our selection of historic photographs gives you deeper insight into Knysna's locomotive past. The Graywood Hotel's central location makes it easy to find; however, for our guests' convenience, we can arrange a shuttle service to and from the George Airport. If you're driving, please remember that secure parking is available at no additional cost. Because we are just 300m from both the town centre and Knysna Waterfront, you can explore at leisure. Amongst the many interests you will find quaint shops, restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, boat cruises and ferry rides, local art galleries and an excellent Tourist Information Centre.
